Scholarships

First Presbyterian Church has three scholarship funds to assist post-secondary students. The Memorial Fund Committee oversees the awards, the application process and disbursements. Award values vary each year based on interest earned from the scholarship funds.

Application deadline: September 30 each year

Eligibility: Students who have completed one year of post-secondary education may apply.
Each award has additional criteria which may limit eligibility.

How to apply: Submit the following documents by the deadline to
First Presbyterian Church, 2170 Albert Street, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 2T9,
Attention: Memorial Fund

  • Completed application form noting the award for which you are applying
  • Letter outlining how you meet the award criteria
  • Copy of post-secondary transcript (unofficial is acceptable)

ROSELLA NEILSON OVERSEAS EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established by the late Rosella Neilson and is specifically intended to assist students from underdeveloped nations to further their education while attending a Canadian university.

MURRAY BAYNE SCHOLARSHIP

This was established by the late Margaret Stewart in memory of her first husband, Murray Bayne. The scholarship is awarded to a student with high academic standing with preference to someone studying theology or medicine, although those entering other academic fields may be eligible if they are members of First Presbyterian Church.

FRASER AND BERNICE REID SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established by the Reid family and is awarded to a student who is either a member of adherent of First Presbyterian church, Regina who is attending any post-secondary institution.
